RIDDLE 12: MRS MARPLE

Miss Marple is sitting in her living room in a peaceful neighbourhood in London, in her favorite armchair. She is knitting a pair of woolly socks. Then the mail man drops a letter in her mail slot. She opens the letter with shaky hands. There’s a mystery in it that she has to solve.
First, there’s a riddle that she needs to answer to proceed to the next level: 1.) If I drink, I die. If i eat, I am fine. What am I?
When she has solved the riddle, her phone rings. A creepy voice on the phone tells the location where she can find the next riddle.
Now she has arrived to a park next to river Thames where she finds the next question: 2.) What comes down but never goes up?
After she has figured out the answer, her phone rings once again. It’s HerculePoirot, who tells her that he received the same letter as Miss Marple. They decide to solve the mystery together.
As they are discussing their strategy, an owl suddenly brings a new letter to them. ‘’This is inexplicable!’’ Marple cries out while opening the letter.
The letter has the next riddle: 3.) Which creature walks on four legs in the morning, two legs in the afternoon, and three legs in the evening?
When they have found the answer, Sherlock Holmes joins them. He has the next riddle.
This letter has a mathematical problem: 4.) 9+9x9-9+9:9? The answer to this question is the amount of steps they have to take to the North.
After they have taken the steps, they have arrived at Big Ben. They notice the next riddle on the wall of Big Ben which says: 5.) What is yours, but others use it?

Now that they have figured out all the answers to the riddles, they hear their names screamed from the roof of Buckingham Palace. It is Prince William with his fiancé, who tells them that they have passed a challenging test. Now they are the best detectives and are rewarded with diamonds.
